Are you questioning whether or not you can make working from home work? As you dream of what it may be like to finally achieve work-life harmony, you may find yourself stymied by the same roadblocks or obstacles that stop many aspiring home based business owners from turning their dream into a reality.
With any new venture, you may find it hard to navigate the decision to work from home.

Here are a few common concerns and how thousands of at-home business owners, who use the Arise® Platform, paved their way to a smooth, easy road to working-from-home:

1. Time Management

Time is the enemy for every home-based business owner who is also responsible for the upkeep of their home, and the well-being of their family. At times, it may be difficult to know when the at-home work day ends and when attention to your family and other personal obligations begin. Set boundaries by establishing a starting point and a stopping point and keep firm to your schedule.

Using the Arise® Platform: For over a decade, our network of independent, work-at-home agents have enjoyed the flexibility of working from home while delivering customer service, sales and technical support for Arise clients. As a business owner, you determine your own schedule (in up to ½ hour increments!), supporting clients on the days and during the hours that work best for you and your family, and making time management well… more manageable.

2.Less Structured

While the freedom associated with working from home can be liberating, some professionals require a more structured working environment to succeed. Designating office space, maintaining regular work hours, and even getting dressed to start the day are just a few in-home work habits to consider in promoting structure, self-discipline, and motivation.

Using the Arise® Platform: Arise is committed to providing its business owners the tools they need to build the life and career they want. Arise provides the technology infrastructure, support and client opportunities – the Arise Network of mini-call centers leverage this support as they determine the best way to structure the other aspects of their business. Setting the alarm, however, is up to you.

3.Social Isolation

Oftentimes, people who work from home complain of isolation and loneliness. One loses the social aspects that can sometimes make working in an office environment more enjoyable. Since the workplace provides an outlet to meet people and make friends, professionals working from home have to be more creative and resourceful. Schedule time that caters to social interaction by going to the gym, scheduling a lunch date, or taking a walk with a neighbor.

Using the Arise® Platform
: Today’s digital and virtual world has generated more opportunities for individuals to pursue successful work-from-home business opportunities while still feeling connected to people socially. Companies like Arise provide customer contact support for its clients by virtually connecting small businesses started by people like you to world-class companies and their customers, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity for human interaction.

4.High Start-Up Costs

Start-up businesses can be expensive and risky. Investing in high out-of-pocket start-up costs takes away from immediately pocketing the income you are ready to earn. There are plenty of companies today that provide real work-at-home business opportunities with little to no start-up costs. Be sure to research companies that appeal to you first and confirm they are legitimate and ethical before signing up.

Using the Arise® Platform
: Unlike most franchise or start-up businesses that can involve initial investments of thousands or millions of dollars, using the Arise® Platform is an extremely economical business opportunity with start-up costs averaging as little as $200-$500*, plus the cost of equipment. Arise is a legitimate business opportunity and has been featured as an industry leader on national news outlets, such as Good Morning America, Fox News and CNN. Additionally, since 2005 Arise has been a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited business with an A+ rating.

5.Self-Doubt

Creating a better work life balance and making money from home sounds tempting. However, our own self-doubt oftentimes ignites fears that hinder our ambition to try something new. Getting caught up in decision-making keeps you second-guessing yourself, thus intensifying self-doubt. Be bold and unleash your inner confidence. If you believe you can be successful working from home, both personally and professionally, you will be.

Using the Arise® Platform: Sometimes opportunities sound too good to be true. While partnering with Arise may seem like one of them, we have thousands of people who prove using the Arise® Platform delivers on its promises.

Your path is clear. There is nothing stopping you.

When the first snow falls and you’re preparing for the holidays, winter seems like a magical wonderland. But at some point, the novelty wears off. The holidays are over, the days are shorter, the weather is colder. Sooner or later, winter gets to you. The last thing you feel like doing when it’s 20 degrees and a blizzard is predicted, is drive to work.

People who work outside the home have to layer themselves in synthetics, scrape the ice off the car windshield, leave earlier than usual and pray traffic doesn’t bring the morning commute to a screeching halt.

Of course, when you work from home, all this hassle is avoided. For example, as a business owner using the Arise® Platform, your commute is down the hall, your attire is whatever feels good that day, and you have total control over when you work.
But even in this dreamy situation, it’s tough to stay motivated when the house is sealed up and it’s dark before dinner. Here are some tips for staying motivated:

Find your Secret Sauce
Perhaps it’s a particular song, a comfy office setting or time of day…find what motivates you, gets you in a work groove and run with it.

Get outside

Your house can become a bunker. Try not to hole up. Join a club, volunteer at the kids’ school, have lunch with friends – anything that breaks up the routine of being indoors.
Exercise

Have a dance party in your living room with the kids, join a gym or take a Zumba class. Whatever you decide, be active. Exercise increases endorphins and lifts your mood. Suddenly, that white stuff piling up outdoors doesn’t bother you quite as much.
Shake up your work hours

Work at night and try and get out during the daylight (this is easy when you are a business owner using the Arise® Platform – you can schedule when you want to work, up to ½ hour increments, 24/7.
Count your blessings

Working for yourself is, for many, the ultimate dream. You are comfy at home, while others are riding through darkness after a long day of working in a building flooded with artificial fluorescent lights.

So when those winter blues set in, remember, you’re luckier than most. If you are still schlepping into the office on cold winter days, and looking for a change, consider a career as a business owner using the Arise® Platform. Register today!

When you think of starting a work-from-home business, what comes to mind? Tupperware parties? Trunk shows? Cosmetics sales?  Does that stop your daydreaming in its tracks?

We’re happy to report that there are options on the horizon that don’t require selling products or hosting parties. The best work-at-home business currently trending is the type where 1) you are in control of how much you earn and 2) is fulfilling.

The time-consuming tasks associated with traditional forms of work-from-home ventures (e.g. the afore-mentioned makeup sales, trunks shows, Tupperware sales, etc.), are eliminated when you start a small business in the customer service space. The days of hunting for new leads, event organization, and setup, are out the window – as calls come to you directly in the comfort of your own home.

Inbound customer service can be the best work-at-home business

The rapidly growing work-at-home business solution, customer contact support (providing customer service support to companies from the comfort of your home), can be an ideal small business option. Home-based customer service businesses allow you to apply multiple skill sets, and don’t involve the pressure of sales. Options for entrepreneurs starting work-at-home businesses in the customer service space can range from customer service to tech support and healthcare—there is a niche for almost any specialty!

Virtual customer service isn’t just about being on the phone

A work-at-home business providing customer service keeps things interesting. Whether it be via phone, chat, or email, there is no limit to the unique questions and concerns that your business will encounter. Many small businesses find a niche responding to email inquiries, or providing chat customer service – and when you own your own business there’s no “9 to 5”; customer inquiries are routed strictly on your time, based on the hours that you choose.

Phone support for a roadside assistance or security systems client, for instance, can be done at any time of the day; morning, afternoon, or night. Business hours are constructed on the timetable that you personally set as a business owner to take these incoming calls.

Although there are many trades that can be done from home, the best work-at-home business is one that suits your expertise, enables you to earn money, and above all else, keeps you interested. Working from the comfort of your own home is a trend that has boomed in popularity in recent years, but entrepreneurship is a long-term goal, and traditional avenues of work-at-home businesses, such as makeup sales, or clothing and jewelry trunk shows, are often short-term solutions.  Home-based customer service businesses are a welcome alternative for those seeking a better option.

A Veterans Day Salute https://www.ariseworkfromhome.com/veterans-day-salute/ https://www.ariseworkfromhome.com/veterans-day-salute/#respond Tue, 11 Nov 2014 16:49:00 +0000 http://awfh.illumanet.com/a-veterans-day-salute-2/ Arise is proud to support our nation’s veterans through a special Military Program that is open to all active and veteran members of the U.S. Armed Forces – including their spouses!  The business venture that we offer is ideal for military families who need the utmost in flexibility.

We at Arise recognize the tremendous sacrifice that members of the U.S. Armed Forces make when enlisting.  To proudly serve our country is one of the most honorable things a citizen can do.  We understand this because our company is comprised of many veterans – including our CEO, John Meyer.  There are many call center companies, using the Arise® Platform, that are owned and operated by veterans or their spouses.

The business venture that Arises offers is extremely attractive to veterans and their spouses.  Active duty service members and their spouses share that the flexibility it offers them is paramount.  Owning and operating a home-based business removes a majority of the challenges that come with ongoing relocation.  So when a service member is transferred to another location – their spouse’s business also moves with them!  This makes it a consistent and viable way for a military spouse to contribute to the family’s income.

For many returning veterans Arise offers a new and different choice.  Depending on their service experience, some veterans struggle with a return and assimilation to civilian life.  Unemployment among veterans in October 2014 rose to 5.3% according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Working from home is often a key benefit for many – as is the appeal of being their own boss!  Veterans are often successful business owners due to the inherent sense of discipline and commitment they have gained in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Not only is Arise proud to partner with organizations and programs such as Hiring Our Heroes, Wounded Warrior Project, and Military Spouses In Transition, just to name a few – but also we offer special discounts and incentives to companies run by veterans and their spouses!  This is our way of saying THANK YOU to all of our nation’s veterans – your service is truly appreciated!

When You Work From Home, a Beautiful Space Keeps You Motivated!

We’ve scoured the internet for some of the most exciting and refreshing home office decorating ideas and we’ve gathered them here to share with you. When you work from home, you spend a lot of time in your home office, but can you honestly say that you love it? That’s where these home office decorating ideas come in.
Creating a beautiful space to work in will keep you inspired and motivated. Instead of spending your day in a boring room, the home office decorating ideas we’ve collected will get you excited about your work day.
Proper Lighting is Your Friend

One of the most crucial home office decorating essentials that often gets overlooked is lighting. Insufficient lighting can cause headaches and can damage your eyesight in the long run. Instead of relying solely on a single light source like your ceiling light, invest in a floor lamp and a desk lamp. This will give you plenty of lighting to work with. When it comes to creating a beautiful and functional space, don’t underestimate proper lighting. While lighting is a must for your visual health, it will also boost your creativity!

Storage Space – You Can Never Have Too Much
Plenty of storage space is a given when it comes to home office decorating ideas. A cluttered and disorganized work space leads to an overwhelmed mind and an inability to focus. It might take some time to get some proper organizational units and put everything in its place, but this is one of the home office decorating ideas out there that will not disappoint. Luckily, there are many ways that you can accomplish a tidy and operational home office and you can get as creative as you like.

Color: A Tried and True Home Office Decorating Idea
Choosing the right color is one of the simplest home office decorating ideas, as well as one of the most important that you can employ. The colors in a room can influence your mood, so you’ll want to pick colors that will inspire you and that you’ll enjoy looking at every day. Each person has a unique relationship with certain colors so it’s okay to choose something that speaks to you. Sticking to calming neutrals is one of the go-to home office decorating ideas if you’re not sure where to start when picking a new color for your office.

Bring Some Life To Your Office With Greenery
This suggestion isn’t one of the more obvious home office decorating ideas, but it will certainly make an impact. Live plants can decrease your stress levels and therefore increase your motivation. Adding one or two plants to your office space can also transform the room without doing anything drastic to it. This is one of the more unusual home office decorating ideas that is worth a shot.

Ready to Rejuvenate Your Work from Home Sanctuary?
With these home office decorating ideas, you can create a beautiful and functional room that you will look forward to spending the day in. Some of the home office decorating ideas mentioned here might seem obvious and some might not have crossed your mind, but each one will be a valuable improvement to your work-space. Unfortunately, the home office is often left out when it comes to decorating, but if you add a few aesthetic and practical touches, you will discover your home office’s potential to motivate you and enhance your productivity.

#GetMobilized!
Are you a business owner using the Arise® Platform?  If so, your business can enter to win a Home Office Makeover by enrolling in the Major Telecommunications program, now through Friday October 31st  . The company that wins the grand prize will receive a $300 Staples gift card toward bringing their great home office decorating ideas to life!
